As its name suggests, it is flat dumpling made in a half-moon shape with sliced glass noodles and leeks in thin dough. The visual doesn't fit the name dumpling, but it is a local food loved by Daegu citizens. It is one of the 10 Daegu delicacies (Daegu rice and soup, grilled tripe, sliced raw bottom round steak, dongindong braised galbi, spicy catfish stew, puffer fish bulgogi, daegu noodle soup, spicy raw fish salad, stir-fried udon, and flat mandu) that represent Daegu food. After cooking it in oil on a hot cast iron plate, sprinkle green onions and red pepper powder on a flat mandu, put soy sauce around it and eat them. It’s not greasy because there is no meat in it. It is chewy and parched, and has a different light and savory taste.
