Sweet rice balls in honey water is a seasonal food dish eaten on Lunar New Year’s Day; “Wonso” translates to “night of January 15 of lunar calendar.” Another meaning is small circular rice ball and is made from glutinous rice powder, sieved, and divided into four parts, then cooked with four natural pigments to make sweet rice balls. The ingredients for sweet rice balls are jujube and finely chopped citron skin, which are mixed with honey, added inside the glutinous rice while it is being kneaded, coated with starch, cooked in boiling water, then pulled out. Add sugar to the mineral water, boil it and let it cool down, then put sweet rice balls in it, and add pine nuts on top before serving.
